Vitamin Supplements May Increase Risk Of Breast Cancer
Women who regularly a multivitamin and mineral preparation shall have a higher risk of breast cancer, according to a Swedish study (American Journal of Clinical Nutrition,
with more than 35,000 women between 49 and 83 years old. The women were followed for almost 10 years.
Of the women who regularly swallow vitamin pills, breast cancer was 3.25% during the study. In women who took no vitamin pills, it was 2.6%. After taking into account other risk factors (such as age, family histories, etc.) decide Swedish researchers that women who take vitamins on average 19% more likely to develop breast cancer than women who do not take vitamins.
